MEET THE ARTIST

I started creating at an early age and fell in love with the way expressing myself through art made me feel. I experimented with my practice in my early years and throughout my undergraduate degree at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where I completed my Bachelor of Fine Art. After I graduated, I shifted my focus to my work with the municipal government, while also pursuing a graduate degree in Urban Studies at SFU. During this time, I took a step away from creativity altogether and focused on building my career.

Despite moving away from creative production, I never stopped developing ideas. Constructing abstract compositions in my mind served as a tool that slowed my thoughts during stressful seasons. I began to merge architectural concepts with traditional fine art techniques to find an intersection between painting and sculpture. In 2022 I decided it was time to bring my ideas to life, and I haven’t stopped since.

Through my revived creative practice, I have found a peace I never thought possible, I feel like I’ve been made whole again. Each piece I create is a reflection of my thoughts, experiences, and the concepts that challenge me. I am so grateful for everyone that has supported me throughout my creative journey, whether through encouraging messages, purchases, or inquiries. My connection with each of you has meant so much to me personally and to my creative practice as a whole.
